You're tired of managing this on your own, or with support that hasn't been quite the right fit for your needs. You are here because you are ready! Let's discuss your goals so we can take proactive steps together towards positive change.
You may be reluctant to seek help for sleep, believing that this is something you should be able to do on your own. However, insomnia is a serious health issue that requires attention just like any other health issue that you may perceive as more of a "medical" issue. You are here because you need relief and you are ready for a change.
Due to CV-19 restrictions, all sessions are currently via video or phone. This means starting therapy right now is very easy and convenient. I invite you to schedule a free initial 15 minute consultation to discuss your goals and find out more about how I can help. I’m excited to connect with you!
With a degree in Mental Health Counseling and licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have received extensive training to evaluate and treat emotional and mental health disorders, related health and behavioral problems, and address a wide array of relationship issues within the context of the family system. I have a holistic perspective regarding health care, taking into consideration the overall, long-term well-being of individuals and their relationships.I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication. After several years of working in a very different career, I returned to school to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counselor Education/Mental Health Counseling. I originally started this journey in Florida, but moved to California in 2010 and I am licensed to practice in the state of California. I have over eleven years of experience working in various treatment settings, including both residential and outpatient programs. This has allowed me to develop a broad range of experience in the mental health field, particularly in collaborating with clients to assess their clinical needs and plan a course of treatment that is most aligned with current goals. My clinical experience has also included a position as Director of Admissions for several years at a holistic-based residential facility, and Program Director for over three years at an integrative outpatient center. In these various roles, I provided therapy services to patients and families, and also supervised other clinicians treating patients with severe mental health and addiction issues.
